Chapter 1

As Sparkle looked around her town, she noticed that it didn't look as good as it had before. It looked as if it was old and tired of being itself. She knew something was missing in it but she just didn't know what it was. Her town was called Tinkertown. It had belonged to her family for generations. It had been her turn to rule it but she wasn't sure that she was ready to because it seemed like she wasn't fit for the job. Even though her family had made so many good things happen to Tinkertown but she knew that if she was going to rule she had to find out what was happening. Even though the gardeners were tending to everything the same way they had done before, the town still seemed dreary. She didn't like it. She didn't like it one bit. Everything started to get moldy. By each and every day, it was getting worse. The houses were covered in moss and bugs that were infecting the kids. So, she only depended on her smartness and her family's power. But that still was't good enough, not good enough for her. She needed more. To get this place up and running she wouldn't need a gardener or any person. She knew that the magic was lifting. Oh, did I forget to tell you about it. Well, there was a magical thing that had covered their town for generations to keep it safe. Without it, they would be seen by real human kind. Which was horrible. They could get killed. Well, Sparkle knew that she would have to go   out of the small town but no one had ever left Tinkertown. The only ones that had ever left had never come back. But Sparkle was determined to get the magic back. The magic was something. It was really cool but no one can see it. It was a magical blanket that no one could see and it kept Tinkertown safe until, somehow, it left. They didn't know where it went. It seemed like they had done something wrong. Or something else had done something wrong.

Meanwhile, Dr. Fang was stirring a pot of the magic from the magic blanket. But I'm going to let you in on how he got the magic blanket. You are very lucky, I usually do not do this. Well, Dr. Fang was from Tinkertown. He was the town doctor. Dr. Fang had wanted to be the king but there was still one more person left to rule before he could ever be king. Her name was Sparkle. Right after the night Sparkle had been selected to be the Queen, Dr. Fang had become the Dr. Fang. That night, he got so mad he wanted to take away the magic. Make Tinkertown just a normal town. He made up a plan. He snuck out of town and walked around the town looking at the big blanket. Only Tinkers can see the magical blanket. Dr. Fang studied the blanket until he memorized what it looked like. The shape, size, and everything. He returned to town and began working on a pretend magical blanket to replace the real one. Three hours and forty-five seconds later, Dr. Fang had made the fake blanket. He went outside and he commanded the trees to rip off the magical blanket. After the trees ripped down the magical blanket, Dr. Fang commanded the trees to put the real blanket down and lift the fake blanket up over Tinkertown. He took the magical blanket and runs away plunging into the forest.

He finds a place deep in the forest where no one could see him and no animal could see him. He started to take the magic out of the blanket. He tried to rip it. It didn't work. He tried to use his fire chipper on it. It didn't work. Again, he tried to use the trees to rub the magic out. But, that didn't work either. Then he thought, "I could build a machine. Why would I worry about trying to do it myself?"

He started to make the machine but it took a whole three days. That was mostly because you have to find tools to make a machine. You can't make it out of twigs or flowers. You have to make it out of well, metal and wires, that's what you would think. Right? Well, anyway, that's not what he used. He used his own food carriers. He used his bottles and his cans and all the trash that he had that looked like metal. All the things that looked like metal. He worked for three days and three nights. Finally, it was made. His machine. He tested it on something else like grass. Then he tried it on the real blanket. It worked! Blue dust and sparkles flung out as if fire was coming out of the magical blanket. It was sucked into the sucker and was put in the underbelly of the machine where it was kept.
